These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for booking and using our event space. By reserving The Bookend or using our website, you agree to the following terms.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A signed agreement and deposit are required to confirm your reservation.

  • Final payment is due no later than 3 days before your event.

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

  • Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event may be eligible for partial credit toward a future booking.

  • Cancellations made within 7 of the event are non-refundable.

  • If The Bookend must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, emergencies), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

3. Event Use & Conduct

  • The renter is responsible for all guests and their behavior during the event.

  • Outside food and beverages are permitted unless otherwise stated in your agreement.

  • Alcohol service must comply with all local laws and licensing regulations.

  • Decorations are welcome but must not damage walls, furniture, or fixtures.

  • Candles and open flames are not allowed unless approved in writing.

4. Damages & Liability

  • The renter is responsible for any damages to the property, furnishings, or equipment during the event.

  • The Bookend is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property belonging to event hosts or guests.

  • We recommend that event hosts obtain event insurance if needed.

5. Marketing & Photography

  • By hosting an event at The Bookend, you grant permission for us to photograph or mention your event for promotional purposes unless you opt out in writing prior to your event.

  • Hosts who partner with The Bookend for marketing support agree that The Bookend may share event details, images, and ticket links via our website, email list, and social media.

6. Website Use

  • Content on our website (including text, images, and branding) is owned by The Bookend and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

  • We strive to ensure accuracy, but we do not guarantee that all information on our website is free from error.

7. Accessibility & Inclusivity

The Bookend is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all guests. If you have accessibility needs or accommodation requests, please let us know when booking.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a new effective date.
